Sometimes I do wonder about what is really real... There is no such thing as a strong, secure thing to which I can hold on to. Every human has it - values, morals, ideals... I wonder to myself: What happens when one loses all ties to those, or, at least, begins to accept their truly and irrevocable subjective nature. Sometimes I also wonder if subjectivity is just a way to say that everything that your life, options and attitudes are based upon is nothing but a thin, complex spider web- so light it might just have been a illusion.
I know for a fact that no one will read this. That is also why I am writing this here. There are quotes and quotes: some makes you feel good and hopeful; others just makes us feel miserable - others even make us nod and agree, or even laugh with their stupidity, but light humour.
People tell to themselves: ''Live your life: enjoy the good things, surpass the bad ones, for there will always be light when there is darkness too.'' Sometimes I wonder if there is something missing in this statement. There will always be light in darkness; as there will always be darkness in light. People think so highly of themselves that sometimes they forget that they are nothing but animals. Everything a human does is nothing but the reflex of its primitive nature. We reckon that we are different from those whom we hunt, but we're always forgetting that we also hunt ourselves. The human being as we know it is no more than a thin layer of polish. I don't believe in lots of things, but I always welcome the possibility.
If there are things I am filled with, those things are doubts. I doubt everything, even myself. I have learned many things; but I believe that there is so much more to learn. I know that I will never fulfill my curiosity: I am not a Goddess to be able to know everything, even though sometimes I wish I were.
I wonder about a lot of things; so many that I also wonder why I wonder so much. Too much. But I like to wonder because it takes me somewhere else... It opens so many new possibilities... I learn to see the world in so many different ways that sometimes I feel that I lose myself in those possibilities. It's making a new world within an old world. Sometimes I also wonder if every person has a world within themselves, because I know I do. Everything that I have ever dreamed lies here, beneath the layers of my conscious mind, waiting like a sleeping giant. Aren't we all trying to find ourselves and our place in the world? Some believe that that place is always there, just waiting; others believe we have to make our own place. Who are you? Who am I? (to be continued...)

Isso é mal geral! Desde livros, a CDs, merdas assim... está tudo bastante caro. Depois ficam de boca aberta com a quantidade de downloads ilegais realizados na internet. x) Até descarregar livros já é possível xD mas, sejamos sinceros... não é a mesma sensação. :P nada a ver! Sabes o que adoro também? O cheiro a livro novo *-* folhear as páginas mesmo rápido com o nariz lá coladito para sentir o cheiro x) desde pequena que acho piada, enfim. :P
De Anne Bishop li "Filha de Sangue", "Rainha das Trevas" e mais recentemente "Aliança das Trevas". Não te sei dizer de qual deles gostei mais pois todos têm o seu "je ne sais quois". E tu? :) Eu também "desligo" quando leio um livro. x) gosto de estar ali tempos e tempos...
Anne Bishop é fantástica! Infelizmente não tenho tudo dela. Juliet Marillier desconhecia até há pouco tempo. Por um mero acaso dei com livros dela na Fnac. De Marion Zimmer nunca li nada mas conheço. Tem bastantes obras. A realidade por vezes é bastante má comparativamente a 1 bom livro. :P Uma característica primordial de quem lê é a facilidade com que imagina o que está a ler, penetrando cada vez mais e melhor no livro. Isto, é algo que se transporta para o restante. :)
Leio um pouco de tudo. Acho que todos os temas e livros devem ser explorados, ver até onde nos podem levar ou o que nos podem despertar ou ensinar. Gosto bastante de literatura medieval. :) E tu?
